Memphis Running. Welcome to Breakaway Running, formally known as Breakaway Ahtletics, a locally owned specialty running store in Memphis, Tennessee and Germantown, TN by runners for runners.
We have two convenient locations to serve you at 1997 Union Avenue, Memphis,Tennessee in Midtown and at 1223 South Germantown Road in Germantown, Tennessee.
Breakaway Running is your one stop running store with high-quality performance shoes, fitness apparel, nutrition, accessories and more for your active running lifestyle. Our goal is to provide the best in customer and community services, advice and products to athletes of all levels. From the beginning walker to the experienced racer, we value all of our fitness enthusiasts and strive to provide our customers with the knowledge and expert advice they need.
We train all of our employees to properly fit the best shoe for athletes of all backgrounds, body types, and experience levels and are supported with a free foot and video gait analysis. Whether you are focused on getting into shape, getting more active or doing a specific running related training program, we want to be there to guide you and assist you in your running-related needs.

If the shoe does not work for you, come back and we will take care of you with an exchange or even a special order*.

Breakaway Running carries many shoe brands ranging from Asics, Brooks, Mizuno, New Balance, Nike, Inov8, Saucony, NorthFace, Pearl Izumi, Hokas and many more in a wide variety of sizes and widths.
We also have a large selection of apparel and accessory items, and we will special order items we regularly stock. Running apparel brands include Northface, Brooks, Craft, Moving Comfort, Pearl Izumi, Bamboo, and more. Under certain circumstances we also may be able to order non-stock items as well.
